Iced Delish Mocha Coffee

Coffee shop flavor without the coffee shop price.

I love a good iced mocha, but I do not love paying $5 or $6 every time I want one.

That adds up fast.

If you buy one coffee shop drink a day at around $6, you are spending close to $180 a month on coffee.

This is one of the reasons I started making more of my drinks at home.

My Iced Delish Mocha takes about two minutes, tastes like a treat, and can cost under $1 per serving depending on the ingredients you use.

And there is one little ingredient that makes a big difference.

Cinnamon.

It gives the chocolate and coffee a warmer, richer flavor without adding more sugar.

Iced Delish Mocha Coffee

Makes 1 serving

Ingredients

  • 1 serving Delish coffee, prepared and chilled (Tap Here for Delish Coffee)
  • 1 cup ice
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon sugar-free chocolate syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of cinnamon
  • Optional toppings
  • Light whipped cream
  • Small drizzle of sugar-free chocolate syrup
  • Dusting of cinnamon or unsweetened cocoa powder

Directions

  • Fill a large cup with ice.
  • Pour your chilled Delish coffee over the ice.
  • Add the almond milk, chocolate syrup, vanilla, and cinnamon.
  • Stir well or place a lid on your cup and give it a good shake.
  • Add whipped cream or a light chocolate drizzle if you want more of that coffee shop feel.
  • Grab your straw and go.

My Secret Ingredient

Do not skip the cinnamon.

It sounds simple, but that tiny pinch changes the flavor.

Cinnamon helps bring out the chocolate and gives the drink that deeper mocha flavor I want without needing a lot of sweetener.

Why I Make Mine at Home

  • Making coffee at home gives me control over what goes into my cup.
  • I can decide how sweet I want it.
  • I can choose my milk.
  • I can keep the calories and sugar where I want them.
  • And I am not spending $5 or $6 every time I want iced coffee.
  • A daily $6 coffee can add up to about $180 in a month.
  • Making mine at home can bring that cost down dramatically.
  • Make It Your Own
  • Want it sweeter?
  • Add a little more sugar-free chocolate syrup.
  • Want it creamier?
  • Use a little extra almond milk.
  • Want more protein?
  • Blend in a protein shake or protein powder that pairs well with coffee.
  • Want it extra cold and thick?
  • Freeze some prepared coffee into ice cubes and use those instead of regular ice.
  • Want a mocha dessert drink?
  • Blend everything with ice instead of stirring it.

One Simple Change

This is the kind of change I made when I started working on my own health.

I did not give up everything I enjoyed.

I started finding ways to make the things I already loved work better for me.

Small changes are much easier to repeat than a plan that makes you miserable.

And if I can make my iced mocha in two minutes, save money, and still enjoy my coffee?

That works for me.
